New York -
I was honored to fly to New York last Sunday and stay with Matt and Beth Evans for a few days. The things I saw and did will forever stay with me. Thought I would share my pictures that I took on my trip with everyone. Some of the highlights of the trip was seeing 9/11, Time's Square, Rockefeller, and Central Park.
Even tho seeing all that was awesome, the best thing about my trip was being able to see and spend some time with my dear Friends Matt & Beth. Please check out Beth's new blog at:

Nuts, Bolts, and Stents
Why do I call my blog "Nuts, Bolts, and Stents?" Well, because they are the things that I live with everyday! I have Bolts and Nuts in my back that keep my back straight. I have Stints in my lungs that keep the air and blood flowing. Add it all up and I have about 5 pounds of Metal in me that keeping me alive and going. This is where I will share about the everyday Nuts and Bolts of my life! Hope you enjoy it!

Wow, what a change
Earlier this week I did a 180, I sold my iPad and bought a Kindle. Now for those of you that know me, you would say that I went crazy. But not really. I sold my iPad for several reasons. One I knew the new iPad 2 is coming out next week and I REALLY want one. So I thought now would be a great time to save up some money and buy the new one. 2nd I have found in my older age that I have a love for reading. Am trying to read not just the Bible every day, but also a book that I find that interest me. Right now am reading: "Decision Points" by President George Bush. 3rd and thel real reason behind me buying a Kindle is that I found it to be very light and that I can hold it up while laying in bed at night and read and not be tempted to want to surf the web, play a game, or catch up on emails. I just wanted to read.
The other big change for me this month has been that the Lord has blessed me in being able to pay off my debit and not owe any money to credit cards or loans. This has always been one of my biggest struggles in life. I always want more than I can afford. So I thought selling my old iPad would give me a good start on saving some money for the new iPad. As well as living a debt free live would help me be more stable in my finances just in case something goes down hill and I loose my job or the economy takes a tumble again.
I do miss my iPad every much and have told myself many times that I shouldn't have sold it, but I think sometimes in life we mush make changes to further our learning and make ourselves a better person.
But having no debit, saving money, and reading to gain knowledge are things that will help me become the person that I believe God wants me to be.
One last thing... I have enjoyed writing in my blog lately and I am trying to pray through, think about, and challenge myself to see what direction my blog needs to take. A few of my thoughts are...
- My life stories, memories or stories from my past that may help someone else or just give you a laugh.
- My daily thoughts about what God is doing in my life.
- Thoughts on the books am reading or my Bible Studies.
If you follow my blog, let me know what you think!
As always am going on a few trips this year. To New York and Boston. I'll blog about those as well and send picture updates.
Hope to hear from you.
